The University Museum Network, in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi" and the INAF - Bologna Astrophysics and Science Observatory, invite you to take a “journey through the July sky”.
From the evocative viewpoint of the Torre della Specola, the former home of the Bolognese Astronomical Observatory, “sky experts” Marcella Brusa (Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi" - University of Bologna), Antonio De Blasi (INAF - OAS Bologna), Roberto Di Luca (INAF - OAS Bologna), Francesco Poppi (INAF - OAS Bologna) and Elisabetta Rossi (Department of Physics and Astronomy - DIFA and University Museum Network - University of Bologna), together with Letizia Di Giovanni, Emanuela Calabrese, Irma Nori, Irene Trentin and Stefania Caroline Velcea (interns from the Astronomy degree programme), will guide you in observing the most fascinating celestial objects visible at this time of year.
Together with them, you will be able to see the Moon-Venus conjunction just after sunset, globular clusters, nebulae, double stars and listen to stories about the myths of the past.
