Welcome to the Zoological Collection of the University of Bologna, where you can stroll around and look at the creatures which have been living on our planet. Game trophies, two great dioramas of Italian environments, an Indian Rhinoceros and a Sunfish: everything in one place! Come and enjoy our collection: you will be surprised by the variety of rare and fascinating animal species you will encounter.

Given the situation of severe bioclimatic discomfort due to the high temperatures expected for the next few days, in order to safeguard the health of visitors and workers, the Zoology Collection is to be closed from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21, 2024. The venue will reopen to the public on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 with the following hours: Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., until August 31, 2024. On Thursday, July 25, 2024, the venue will be extraordinarily closed to the public for maintenance work on the electrical system. We apologize for the inconvenience.
